Recent Additions

Custom Bit Key Series

The ability has been added to create your own Custom Bit Key series and cards.

You can specify important information such as; Fixed cuts, Movement Cuts, Bit Width, Bit length and the Stem diameter.
Your Custom Bit Keys can also be transmitted to the Bianchi 993 key machine for cutting

Key Machine Support

Support has been added for the Bianchi 994 F Jaw.

This allows for the cutting information of a large range of standard automotive keys to be transmitted directly from InstaCode.

Automatic Backups

We know that everyone is always very busy, making downtime always scarce. So it is understandable that backing up data such as your saved clients, key hook locations and custom series can be a low priority.
Unfortunately all PCs have their glitches, be it a virus, hardware failure or simply rushing through an upgrade and making the wrong selection. So for that reason we have added a behind the scenes backup feature.

So this is how it works:
Every time InstaCode is closed, a backup file of all your custom data is created on your hard drive. The backup file is labelled with the date. So obviously, if you should happen to open and close InstaCode several times on the same day, only the last backup will be kept.
However, to ensure that you hard drive does not fill up with backups, InstaCode will only keep backups from the 30 most recent days, effectively giving you a minimum of a month's worth of backups.

WH Software still recommends that you periodically move your backups onto another piece of hardware (such as an external hard disk or another PC) encase of something truly catastrophic, like a fire or a laptop being stolen.

Windows 8

With the recent release of Microsoft's new operating system; Widows 8, new PCs are sure to start arriving with this new operating system. WH Software has already take the step of testing InstaCode on Windows 8. We have made the required changes to ensure the world's best Key Data Software will remain at the forefront of computing solutions for the modern locksmith.
So WH Software now supports installations of InstaCode on Windows 8 computers.

Web Updates

Automatic checking
Kreate A Key will now periodically check for newer versions if your PC is connected to the internet.
When an update is available, an option is given to download and install the update.

The frequency with which this occurs is every 7 days by default.
But you can set the frequency anywhere from 1 to 90 days.
Or you can disable the feature altogether.

This feature ensures that you are always maximizing the return from your investment in Kreate A Key.

Plug-ins

Check out the new plug-in for the Nissan Siemens manufactured NATS System. This is currently available for the 2003-2007 Nissan X-Trail (T30 S2).
This feature will be cross referenced to other Nissan models via our live web updates as the information comes to hand.

New Look!

To keep Kreate A Key as the world's premier locksmith software, we worked hard to rebuild Kreate A Key from the ground up for the 2011 release. Fresh and modern, the new look enables compatibility with new operating systems such as Windows 7 and the smaller Netbook PCs that have become so popular with mobile locksmiths over the last few years.

Simpler keyboard

The primary shortcut keys have been simplified. No more searching around the keyboard looking for that one letter, we have made use of the function keys on your keyboard - easy to press and easy to remember. To help you learn these new shortcut keys we have made our newly designed keyboard stickers to place on your keyboard or along the side of your monitor.

Multi-user

Network support has been added allowing you to keep your client and custom data on a central PC and access it from others within your network.

Multi-language

Big and on-going push toward multi-language on this version, supporting all international characters. There is still much to be translated, but for the massive effort so far we say a big "thank you" to all translators and helpers. Languages available include: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch, and Turkish coming soon.

Find vehicle

To make finding specific vehicle information easier, Kreate A Key now has a model number search and the ability to search for a specific year rather than just a year range. Handy when different model numbers have been produced and sold in the same year. A new "Find Model" feature helps you identify a vehicle from any information you have.

Find card

Now Kreate A Key can search for a rare, never seen before card with just a few measurements from a sample lock or key.

Rekey locks

A calculation tool has been added to allow you to rekey a lock or vehicle to a new valid code without requiring any new wafers or pins. Try it - it's a massive time saver!

Enhanced machine support

Along with new machines supported and enhancements for existing machines, the setup of machines has undergone a revamp resulting in easier machine setup.
